I cannot believe how fast time is flying by!
Sofia is so much fun and absolutely hillarious. She keeps me laughing for a majority of the day! Here are some things she is doing these days...
~Can count to 20 most days.
~Can write her name without looking at it.
~Can identify most letters.
~Knows the sounds some letters make.
~Is very excited to go to pre-school in the fall with her cousin!
~Just finished her first year of Cubbies and loved it! She is soooo good at learning Bible Verses! I'm so proud of her.
~LOVES going to church! A couple weeks ago, we were in the church lobby talking to Stephen's parents and Sofia stated that she "needs to get to her Sunday School class so she can learn more about Jesus"
~Thinks that the letter "m" is named McDonalds! (oops:)
~TALKS, TALKS, and Talks. When she's not talking, she's singing!
~Adores her little brother and her daddy.
~Loves playing outside on her dora bike.
~Loves being with her cousins and her friends!
~Really loves jumping on trampolines!
Sofia is still the sweetest, most tender-hearted little girl! Before every meal, she prays for Carol, Bree (a little girl from our church who was just diagnosed with leukemia) Baby Raylan, Mike and Ana in Kenya and The Hiles in Ohio.
Hudson is 14 months old and I have no clue where the time has gone!
Here is what Hudson is up to this month...
~He is WALKING! He starting walking on April 27. He took his first steps and the next day he took a few more. Now he's pretty much choosing to walk whenever he can. He can stand up for a REALLY long time now too!
~Doesn't really say any words yet. He says dada, mama, nana, and that's about it.
~He loves playing with balls and really all of his toys. He drives around his truck and makes the sound of a truck running.
~He loves putting things into other things. He also is just starting to stack his star rings.
~He is only taking one nap, usually from 3-5. He goes to sleep at 8 at night and wakes up usually around 8.
~He loves milk! He also loves bananas, bread and other bread like foods, hot dogs, grilled cheese, cheese, yogurt, and fruit. He is a VERY picky eater and depending on the mood he's in he'll eat different foods.
~He waves bye bye and claps like crazy now. When he's walking, he'll get so excited and stop and clap and say YAYA. It is so adorable!
~He is sooo sweet and cuddly now. He is a completely different baby than he was just a few months ago. He is so happy and just loves to play with his big sister!
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-3327759492097275272012-03-15T20:53:00.002-04:002012-03-15T21:03:55.670-04:00Hudson is 1!
Mr. Hudson, you are 1!!!

Here is what you are up to this month....

~You are a PEANUT! The past year has seemed like the longest year but also the fastest year yet! So much has happened since you were born and mommy has learned so much about herself and about what it means to be a mommy to two babies. Since the time you were born, mommy and daddy felt called to move to South Africa for two years to work with a family in Durban. We started to raise support and prepare ourselves and friends and family for our big move. When you were about 8 months old, mommy and daddy found out that the family we were going to work with was going to be moving back to the states to take a job at a church. We then did more research on whether or not we were still needed on the field, and God clearly closed the door to that ministry.

During this whole period, you were growing up right before our eyes. From the first week you were born, when we all had horrible COLDS and we didn't know how we were going to make it at home with a newborn and a 2 year old, to the first few months of literally NO sleep and your insane colic, to your 9 month birthday when mommy made a horribly difficult decision to stop nursing you, to your three ear-infections in a month at 11 months, all the way until your first birthday, it has been a CRAZY year!

This past year has really given new meaning to the song "It won't be like this for long!" Mommy would sit up with you, rocking you like crazy with huge tears flowing down my face ALL NIGHT because you wouldn't sleep, and I kept telling myself, "It won't be like this for long." "He will sleep and I will sleep again." "He's only going to be like this for a little while." As I would sit with you ALL DAY while you were screaming and not letting me put you down, I would tell myself, "It won't be like this for long." "I will be able to cook a meal without hearing you scream again." "I will be able to go get my haircut again soon because he will EVENTUALLY be ok for a sitter." The list goes on. I tried so hard not to wish away those first precious months with you because, I knew, "It won't be like this for long," but in reality, I couldn't wait for the day that you would sleep through the night and the day that I could leave you with a sitter because I needed a break. That song really has such a double meaning, and I learned that the hard way. Now, as I'm looking back on your first year of life, "It won't be like this for long" has shifted meaning and now shows me that you truly have grown up SO fast into my little red-headed man!

Mommy and daddy love you so much Hudson! We pray that you will grow up to love Jesus and that you will live your life for Him. You are such a joy and blessing to our family!

All my love,

Mommy

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-44187826075580702882012-02-13T00:17:00.002-05:002012-02-13T00:26:28.829-05:0011 Months!
Hudson, how I cringe when I hear the words 11 Months associated with your name! How is this possible? You are growing up entirely too fast! I cannot believe that in just one short month, you are going to be a year old. It seems like just yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital! This month you have changed so much! What are you up to this month??

~You popped your third tooth through and are working on more.

~You are still sleeping great! About 8pm - 8 am and take two naps.

~You are a great eater! You take 4 6oz bottles a day and eat three meals a day with a lot of cheerios throughout. :) You love yogurt, cheese, grapes, bananas, goldfish, graham crackers and water. You are really good at drinking out of your sippy cup!

~You are TINY! We'll see how much you weigh at your year check up but you are in size 3 diaper and still in sizes 6-12 month and 9 month clothes. You wear a size 2 shoe, but you never wear shoes :)

~You got your second ear infection after you went to mimi's house and stayed for the weekend. You hate taking your medicine though so we have to mix it in your bottle!

~You are waving a lot more now. You are also still working on clapping. You like to play with your little basketball toy and you put the ball through the basket!

~You are walking behind your cart now and pushing it around like a crazy man.

~You are crawling EVERYWHERE, FAST! You can get from point A to point B VERY quickly! You have no fear. You climb over things, off of things and dash for the stairs when the gate is open.

~You LOVE bath time. You splash and kick and squeal, it is the cutest thing!

~You are getting much better in the nursery and are doing great without having your paci!

~You say mama, dada, baba, yaya, and something that sounds like hey.

~You LOVE dogs! Anytime you see a dog you go crazy, it is so cute!

~You are so cuddly when you are tired, I just love it! You are so sweet and love your big sister so much!

Little man... SLOW down! I can't believe we are planning your first birthday already! SO NOT FAIR!
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-73431879945742983952012-01-11T21:29:00.003-05:002012-01-11T21:39:27.505-05:0010 Months
Hudson, how is it that you are ALREADY 10 months old! You are growing up in what seems like hyper speed! It is just not fair at all how fast time is going with you! Boy oh boy, you have changed so much this past month. You continue to become a happier baby every day!

Here is what you are up to this month!!!

~You are an awesome sleeper! You go to bed between 7:30 and 8 every night and usually don't get up until around 8:30. You might wake up earlier, but you usually don't make a sound in the morning, so mommy just comes in your room to get you. You are really only taking one long nap right now. Sometimes you take a morning nap, but usually you take about a 3 hour nap around 1.

~You are a great eater! You are eating 4 bottles of formula a day and 3 meals of table food. You LOVE bread, just like your sister did! You love blueberries, cheese, and graham crackers also. You've started using a sippy cup with a little apple juice/water mixture, you're not too sure about it yet.

~You are growing, growing, growing! You are wearing size 3 diapers and mostly 6-12 month and 9 month clothes. You got lots of great clothes for Christmas and the most adorable pair of Sperrys for this summer! It's so hard to imagine that you'll be wearing them before we know it!!

~You are really starting to become more verbal. You say "da-da" "ma-ma" "ga-ga" "ba-ba" "ya-ya" I'm not sure you're really saying anything yet, but you are really starting to make more sounds.

~You are waving more now, and have clapped a few times. You're still not doing either of them regularly yet though.

~You love to play with all of your new toys you got for Christmas. You love your little basketball hoop toy and you even are putting the ball in the hoop. You love being read to, you love "Pat the Bunny" and your Peek-a-boo book.

~You are army crawling when you want to get somewhere fast, crawling on your hands and knees when you're just cruising, pulling yourself up on EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE. You are sooooo fast, you scale walls, pull yourself up in your crib, and you love to stand just holding onto stuff with one hand. You've even stood by yourself for a few seconds. You can basically get wherever you need to whenever you want to. You are also able to now get yourself into the sitting position!

~You are starting to get into your sisters things more and more and she's becoming more and more frustrated. She does tell you that you are her best friend though all the time! :) Melts this mama's heart!

~You love being sung to!

~You are doing better in the nursery and with other people when they are watching you. You are still a mama's boy, but you are getting much better!

~You are sooooo smiley! You have two precious teeth on the bottom and are working on popping through one on top.

~We celebrated your first Christmas with lots of family and friends and you were so good.

~You are such a blessing Hudson George! Mommy and Daddy love you so much and we are so thankful for you!!!!!
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-61116304996447641662011-12-12T22:02:00.003-05:002011-12-13T13:50:42.509-05:00Sofia is 3 YEARS OLD!
Sofia Grace... you are three years old!!! However, Sofia is almost 3, so I'll do a post for her on her birthday!

Hudson is 8 months old today which is ridiculously hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital and we all had horrible colds! It also snowed today for the first time. Big, wet, pretty flakes. Ahh... winter is upon us!

Anyways, what is Hudson up to...

~STILL wearing 3-6 month clothes, and SOME 9 and 6-9 month stuff. I tried putting a 6-12 month zip up hoodie (camo in spirit of daddy's favorite time of year) and it was HUGE. He is such a peanut! I "weighed" him the other day and he was about 15 lbs. He is also wearing size 2 diapers.

~Hudson is now eating everything we eat. He LOVES food! Whenever we're out to eat, and holding him, he likes to stand up, stiffens up and like grunts with his fists clenched together tight. He will eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. He eats more than his sister does. I don't understand how he's so tiny still! He is also nursing about every 3-4 hours.

~He is sleeping very well still. He usually takes a morning nap and a 2-3 hour afternoon nap. He goes to bed around 8 and gets up around 8.

~He has two teeth that have popped through this month. (bottom center)

~He is now army crawling. It is so funny, he gets up on his toes almost like he's doing a push up and then lunges forward.

~He had his first ear infection this month and took his first anti-biotic. It was a rough week that week with little sleep and high fevers. Poor little man.

~He loves my phone and controllers. It's so funny, he will move so fast towards them.

~He LOVES his sister! She can make him smile basically at any time!

~He is still a somewhat fussy baby. He does not like being put down for more than just a few minutes. But I love to snuggle him, so it's ok! :)

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-73753012776039312712011-10-17T15:46:00.005-04:002011-10-17T15:55:21.328-04:007 Months Old! We took you in for your weight check and you had put on a pound since your 6 month check up which put you at a whopping 13 lbs. 12 oz! Just barely on the charts! :) You are still wearing 3-6 month clothes and wear a size 2 diaper.

You are eating ALL THE TIME! You are basically eating whatever we eat for meals and you are still nursing every 3 hours! I don't get how you are so tiny with all of the food you eat! :)

You sleep AWESOME now! You sleep from about 8-8 and take two naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon!

You are sooo interactive with your sister, we just love it! You smile and get sooo excited when you see her!

You love to put things in your mouth still, your sissy rarely put things in her mouth when she was your age!

You love to play in your jumperoo and to be held still! You also are sitting up all by yourself and are starting to army crawl a bit. You will get up on your toes and you push yourself forward. You look like you're doing push-ups! :) It's so cute!

You can just about feed yourself puffs. Sometimes you can't quite get them out of your hand and into your mouth!

You are just soo sweet and are becoming a bit more cuddly when you are tired, it's so precious!

We love you little guy!!!

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-82823330868270511062011-09-12T18:54:00.002-04:002011-09-12T19:14:17.179-04:006 Months Old!!!
Hudson is 6 months old already! Wow, he is just growing up soooo fast! It makes me so sad to put some of his "baby" stuff away like his bouncy chair, but I love seeing him grow and learn new things, it's so bitter sweet! Well, Hudson, here is what you are up to this month........

~Today at the doctor you weighed 12 lbs 14 oz. My oh My little guy.... you are so tiny but yet you eat ALL.THE.TIME! At your 4 month apt you were 12 lbs 6 oz. The doctor wasn't too concerned, but wants us to go back in a month for a weight check to make sure you are at least trending up. You are not on the charts for weight. You are 26 inches long which puts you in the 25th percentile for height. You are a PEANUT!!

~You are nursing every 3 hours during the day. You also have been eating baby food and cereal at night. Today, at the doctor, you ate a cracker... oh.my.word, you were so adorable! You have been given the clear to basically eat table food now because you are so tiny!

~You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. We have had to start putting you in some 6-9 months jammies because you are so long.

~You are sleeping like a champ now! You usually go down around 9:00 and get up around 7. Sometimes you go back down until about 9, but sometimes you get up. If you get up then you take a little morning nap and then usually a 2-3 hour nap around 2 or 3. Sometimes you take a little nap again in the evening.

~You love playing in your jumper and on the floor.

~You roll over all the time. You are almost sitting up by yourself, you can sit for a couple of seconds before you fall over, but I don't think you're far from being able to do it all by yourself. You also scooted across the floor one day but you haven't done it since. You like to play on your belly.

~You love your paci still as well as your lion.

~You are becoming very grabby and you are interacting with you toys all the time! You also LOVE your big sissy. You love watching her and she can always make you laugh! You are really becoming a very happy baby now! I love it!!

(pictures to come!)

(Stay tuned to the blog for some big updates on our family!)

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-82170224459802683112011-08-10T16:36:00.005-04:002011-08-12T14:41:01.673-04:005 Months!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSpOVgVOV4q7xfHdr1NTWyJStRtckgUlV7las-fQfTiQK4aAqIzv9cwtBCiSEMHbOcIjKO558YX5jIOmZm8P51oldAW9ufT9hdChkNPBB9dC0eaqInC63FHECVilpi_YHisTebhwpLQJs/s400/IMG_3953.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5640040605801614786" />

Hudson, it's hard to believe that just 1 year ago today, I was in the ER for dehydration caused by morning sickness. The Dr. who came in to check on me asked me if I had an ultra-sound and then proceeded to tell me that it was possible I was having twins. What a ride that would've been! But nope, just one little gummy bear, just you! :) Now here we are, one year later, and you're my little red-headed stinker! :)

What are you up to this month Hudson....

~You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and some 0-3 still. You are so tiny! At your check up last month you weighed 12 lbs even. You wear size 2 diapers.

~You are nursing every 3-4 hours. You are also now eating solids. You've had cereal (don't mind this), peas (loved), squash (weren't sure of), and applesauce (loved).

~You are sleeping AWESOME now! You sleep from about 9:30 or 10:00 until about 6 and then I usually feed you and put you back down until about 8 or so. You take a morning nap for about an hour and then an afternoon nap which usually lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours.

~You are really interactive with your toys now. You reach for things and usually just put them in your mouth! You drool all the time and love chomping on your fingers! You love your jumperoo and you still take naps in your swing.

~You talk and giggle all the time. You love your big sissy and always laugh at her!

~You love your lion stuffed animal that daddy just bought you.

~You are a total momma's boy! You cry whenever you can see me and I'm not holding you.

~You are still kind of a fussy baby, but you continue to get better as you get older!

~You still love swimming! You just sit in the water and look around and hardly even make a noise when we put you in.

You are such a sweet, cuddly boy! Mommy and Daddy love you so much little guy! :)
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-39195125925752935042011-07-10T21:48:00.004-04:002011-07-10T22:35:13.405-04:004 Months!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6IklyBR97tIxYA4SUuJMTyLxj_KupHJRVqCuXX5h94QvbW_A7o1oWqeojP1yrchiVgOGPKQtkWZVz7dCmhiG0HBUclmyK_D8O3AuGLCh3g5Mk5UEHflZvWyw0shhTMwwQ3RVXXVCmkfc/s400/IMG_3828.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627917262768810514" />

(In case you missed it, there's another new post below this one! :)

Hudson, you are 4 months old! I know I say this every month but I just don't see how it's possible that you've been a part of our family for 4 months now! What are you up to these days?

~You are still wearing size 2 diapers and 0-3 month clothes. I tried on a 6 month outfit the other day and it was HUGE on you! I'm not sure how much weigh, but we go in for your 4 month check up on Tuesday, so I will update then with your stats!

~You are eating every 3 hours basically on the dot! You haven't slept through the night in weeks and you are getting up every 3 hours to eat. What's your deal buddy?? You also aren't really that great at napping anymore either. However, today I had to wake you up after sleeping for 3 hours because we were getting ready to leave.

~You are SUCH A SMILEY baby!! I think you smile way more than your sister did! Your smile lights up the room! You are also belly laughing and telling such great stories.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFjR4xrlmszGpaAnHKMuyDrqLcuYUUxrMMHNKqOzu564EgBSgA6Hm9f3PGj_vcSvHPaydxfrqTehgvNUOSSdO_ZtuRKgHFk-OGfkmaAQccmUfA3AG3AJv8nzlRirbxKFRCNlsBdxla0LU/s400/IMG_3814.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627917258251483842" />
~You are now rolling over ALL.THE.TIME! You can roll both ways and always roll over immediately after we lay you down on your back. You have been sleeping on your belly and you seem to really like it!

~You went on your first airplane ride to North Carolina! You did sooo good! You slept the entire flight down there and were awake and just looking around the entire flight home! You also LOVE putting anything in your mouth that is close by... your paci, your paci clip, your shirt, your hat, your blanket, mommy's hand... anything! I wonder if you're working on teeth already because you also drool ALL THE TIME!

~You spent your first fourth of July up at Burt Lake. We took you to the fireworks and you were asleep the entire time! You never flinched! You also went to your first Indian River parade :) You went swimming in Burt Lake for the first time and just whimpered for a few seconds and then loved it!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1KpQXN-fj6hNQ4k0P3NAGexS1Eo-6r3HNAkq95j4cW6QLv_LPvqF5p9SJwgeS70YBBDy9RgvBi7L0aZHtZqxlA3zmkJSyb483K3Quq6jsC4I0cAwFuymd4QFXZD68FmsWwHhyFybHAsQ/s400/DSC00734.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627915414863716610" />
~You went swimming for the first time in the Nitengale's pool and again, just whimpered for a few seconds and loved it!

~You started going into the nursery at church this month!

You are growing up way too fast little man! Sofia is keeping us our toes and cracks up every time she opens her mouth! The other day we were working on colors and Stephen was asking her what colors different things were... this is how their conversation went... Stephen to Sofia "Sofia, what color is your shirt?" "Pink" "Sofia, what color is my shirt?" "Green" "Sofia, what color are my pants?" "Blue" "Sofia, what color is that block?" "Yellow" "Sofia, what color are your pants?" "Zebra." LOVE IT! She had on her zebra print pjs still and we just died laughing. Her new thing is to say "probably not" and "not quite yet" whenever we tell her it's time to take a nap. She keeps us laughing!

We have had a really busy summer so far! My brother Jeremy is getting married in August, so we've been busy with wedding showers for them. Then, I flew to North Carolina with Hudson to visit Hudson's future girlfriend, Rylee. My friend Lauren had Rylee about 6 weeks after I had Hudson, and we've already arranged their marriage! We had a blast visiting as it had been about a year since we'd seen eachother! We ate a lot of Chick-Fil-A and watched chick flicks.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRfQqv4Nr8KIzG15BvTNY3ZH459GL8E4uHyAf3dsIdgs87W3j90PAQRb-zUmaiT4jVvvPbZjP3Kr1jtr3fFCCygds1ko8jXnXkTZBENFG3OjDdN6_V7s2AcsIQK0dJn4g5771rJHrpTh4/s400/DSC00679.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627808958956321970" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBVGdmBgeXhBUqcsfym__BCcIKpkBDlu9KK9gA91rxAibbO3ERhrMevZUdCxflUlQ6tL5LHrcU63I1anxKnv0aRYK87Prg6AsSoDYlY5ayxZ4Gva_ShiJuohUauPE6lsF3cxRaXS2omq0/s400/DSC00692.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627809371221914370" />A couple days after I flew home, we went up to Burt Lake for about a week. We had a blast up there!!! My parents just got a hot tub up there that overlooks the lake! It is such a relaxing way to spend our evenings now! The kids did great on the boat and on the beach. Sofia even walked in the sand some and ran around in the water with her Aunt Jaimee! We went to the fireworks and Sofia got so scared, that we left and went back to the cottage! We put the kids down and ended up watching them from the hot tub! It was perfect! Hudson went to his first Indian River parade on the fourth and Sofia enjoyed getting lots of candy!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWaFjyKcs7d7PTu4eWXOP2Sh2Ll8P9MxxzngAPWjmXxuDi0zVvsrIpBiR-3FiWRRNYEkm3H4uMgEA-m2wJ6Pwi292H1ztY6Gba2yeO6fPb6lJ2Y-bQinMCpSJS2T2sfaEclorgtOXCS-M/s400/DSC00732.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627808946377343586" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxcQIyaPe8NjYpw8c9ugsbAF97lsONZn-kzo_86NWZlXQDqz_6bQFeXUqRQgkfZ3OQE_gbAjxEhMy3Cb0LtK3c13p4k56kQP7cW9Wrt4wgNS4EyLEqsTQRbPzO1DCsEWHLnRkZq-4cIlc/s400/DSC00721.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627808938113974674" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHk5JJulNVLWKmV2dIQ-eNVUXxfH-z_Dxgeirsb2xMMdK8uWShrfPeqWl06Tc57jduxQoP2RtlaIJd0U4W584mBg5USMKqEYpixOpJeWJFAZdhbX2rD9fN_6FibHwLG168vcUXsYM3wy0/s400/DSC00708.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627808928723235330" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAoPR2KCEJOwn2LV_aAxMtve050cbQleC68YqCAPwDAbFCGs42NeLUDv7LWEiPEK7PcBGL_ftdw7GOL9WH0tmhOqK6TRjBKjw8nU9uEqrJroXy2HDyQeXTNv4ylr9BjXtItFHucyHocR8/s400/IMG_3766.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627808921522942706" />
We've been swimming a lot out to the farm and Sofia is now going in with just a life jacket and swimmies. This month we celebrated Hudson turning 3 months old and Sofia turning two and a half! Where has the time gone!?!?!

What is Hudson up to this month???

Hudson, you are....

~still eating about every 3-4 hours. We went to see a lactation consultant this week because mommy thought you weren't getting enough to eat. It was only taking you about 10 minutes to eat total so mommy was getting worried! However, apparently, she had nothing to worry about because we weighed you before you ate and then weighed you after and you drank 4 oz in 8 minutes! Mommy has a really fast flow and you can eat really fast! :)

~sleeping VERY well! You slept through the night for the first time this month, then slept all the way through when we were up north for Memorial Day. This past week you slept through the night 4 out of 5 nights! Mommy is sooo happy that you are finally sleeping so well after a rough first month! You're also down to a pretty good nap schedule. You typically nap for about an hour or so after every feeding!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx-ydkv97Vm6dSzNdPD2AoNiJLvpMmWkfcx7PrsJTzdzIy7HVx3vC5wGUH0fxDG_zBFbYkVJEdZAMTsrhYzQLQG2Q9Ls98aIfHagH3dqDGHmU-Ma6r6GhX6OzXe_yQOs8VTIiLv0peUV4/s400/IMG_3647.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616602820420255314" />~definitely growing! At 2 months you weighed 10 lbs even, this week at the lactation consultant, you weighed 11 lbs even. You are still wearing your 0-3 month clothing but I think within the next couple of weeks we will be moving you up to the next size.

~wearing size 1 diapers.

~such a STRONG baby! When you get mad you arch your back and refuse to be put in your carseat or your swing. You stretch your legs out and can stand up (with mommy helping of course).

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOC9jQ2CGRNRXaL4QKT-vmDLdgTA3GBfQ867kTO0EG-XHHaLJzwY-rT3l5gHdWPZuxmt3nDUQNfE_51XRDocEjN_AbkUW8OdSK9tj7txi4ah_J60AbXoybqMviLbPwX4mVceuYUarhlQM/s400/IMG_3724.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616602845606165906" />
~you are just about to roll over. Sofia, you crack us up constantly!!! You are talking up a storm and you really don't ever stop talking!! You are a HUGE help to mommy with Hudson! You have amazing patience for a 2 year old! You have been eating a ton but you don't like potatoes. You went "stinky" on the potty for the FIRST time this week! We are so proud of you! You've gone on the potty now every time since then!!! You constantly ask to go to Burt Lake, which mommy loves! You love your grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins! You love your friends John and Mary and Paige and Luke! You love to sing, read your princess Bible and play your guitar.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjcIluXkb0BUNAL16Vj7uAB3shml2d4xNqN7sLIRMnjYYOXEdQq3s-D-mcfU2SSKBQYMnBczYDbY0H2mJmNsPUKyRCgiQddkHK4pvJhWopsnOFT7EUyHFChcsxUZOwpOPthS88gdh6Uzg/s400/IMG_3653.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616605813433112530" /> You love playing with your kitchen and dollies too! You absolutely LOVE playing outside in your wagon and on your swing. You love going to the park and going down the "big red slide." You love to ride in your daddy's Jeep and always hold your brother's hand in the Jeep. We're not sure if it's because you are scared or because you think Hudson is scared. It is so sweet! You are learning more and more EVERY day, it amazes me how much you take in on a daily basis! Your mommy and daddy just adore you little lady!!! He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19 inches long. He is so perfect and we are so in love! Labor was a lot different time around! I woke up that morning around 9 having really bad cramps. They were so painful but weren't really like contractions. I decided to call my dr. just to see what they thought and they said to come into the office and to throw in my bags just in case! Stephen and I got to the office around 11 after I dropped Sofia off at Stephen's parents. We waited a bit and were finally called back around 11:30. The Dr. came in (not my regular Dr. because she was in surgery) and checked me and said, "you're at 6 cms, I'm going to say you're in labor! Congrats, you're going to have a baby today! Go ahead and head to the hospital!" I was really in shock and disbelief because I really wasn't having contractions that were anywhere close to regular or close together! But, Drs Orders :) So... off we headed to the ER where they took us up to triage. They hooked me up to the monitors and of course, I had only a few contractions, so I was sure they were going to send me home. Well, then a nurse came down from labor and delivery and said... "your doctor said to admit you even without the contractions since you are at 6 cms, so let's go!" Still in shock, and trying to process the fact that I would meet my baby that day, we headed up to L & D. At this point it was about noon. We got up there, got settled in and waited for my Dr. to come in and talk to us. Around 1 she came in and talked to us and told us that she thought that just breaking my water would get things started, but that she'd like for me to get the epidural first so I could get comfortable. By 2 I had my epidural and by 2:45 I had my water broken, but not really any regular contractions yet. At this point I was only at 7 cms and things weren't really picking up. So I laid around and watched a little basketball and wasn't fully comfortable but wasn't in horrible pain. Around 4, I was finally at an 8 and the nurse then decided it was time to call my Dr. back because she thought things would go quickly. Wow, was she wrong :) Around 4:30 my Dr. came in and said I was still at an 8 and did something (not sure what it was, but it was painful, we'll just leave it at that) and said it should be soon. Within a half hour of her doing whatever she did, my contractions were 2 minutes apart and incredibly painful! I felt EVERYTHING! They came in to see if they could do something with the epidural but that didn't work. By 5:45 when she came back to check on me, I thought I was going to die, but was finally at a 10!!!! Soooo... she got everything ready to start pushing. I started pushing probably around 5:50 and out he came at 6:15. The pushing was horribly painful but so rewarding when I heard Stephen say "it's a boy!" Wow, what a surreal moment! All worth the waiting to find out the sex, yet again! My doctor was so great and we were so blessed that she was able to deliver him! She was quite worried while I was pushing because my heart rate was skyrocketing everytime I'd push, probably because of the pain I was in. At one time, she said, Jaclyn, I need you to calm down, your heart rate is faster than the babies. I don't think it has slowed down since :)

Sofia just absolutely adores her little brother and calls him "my Hudson." I love it and it just melts my heart when she holds him and loves on him. It has been a difficult adjustment having two little ones, but we have been really blessed with all of the help from both of our parents. We are so blessed to have two perfectly healthy, beautiful children and we thank God for them daily! What a blessing! With everything that we went through with this pregnancy, we are so thankful that Hudson is here and is healthy. He is a little peanut, at his weight check this Monday (4 days old) he weighed 6 lbs 3 oz, but the doctor wasn't worried about it. We'll see what he weighs next week at his 2 week apt. My recovery has been a lot better this time around, but I've had a really bad cold since the day I had him, which has been nearly impossible to get rid of due to my lack of sleep! I'm just so thankful he is here! :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCEeLQxP6vs-vQezvxiSR4Wv9YZf8I4Ijdr85vpuGVOPu_UKPMWZkT5t1HV-9kI0s0Yey17GigJlMXfDvOnAEHbqLHebLur2_-IGzTazTsretF_LyYZZPKBE1KrGabdHFyGpZD1ktGOOc/s400/IMG_2932.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585221088700254802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVT2HRO6q5pn07agl_9UAAytyOKuxoop6G_DF0Hjg3CJ_UX0KfUMvsSCtSUof-LkH8SDCEOv_Y9r2siPW4iMa-1aEp8vd_efNUhxyv-QKxUruiITTPPfV89QLoSkn6t2nyesAKbeRyL8E/s400/IMG_2915.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585221085926387602" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHrOPICJ0e1SwFSQGh67Eo-p-terR6MBkj6SMrklFdkfPzolFPkSzj5_wQ463-skXNBw2Ig7-Sy58kswsNIk5AMedxUQdedY0tLn7DMbup1QXsrq19kgQ6vold-laHa-6lCefEbsV1V_U/s400/IMG_2841.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585221077551402162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAz8lXNutxlV-EMzthfibdr_-P5eYzTRw4OgaNct5jXvYs70Tolg5NGxZ2bmufqCjhywvIx75leoN8YEXA4aMKxUg-eHfL49oukP5vtRqjqmWAX_yYT_96lqV1v-KC4yuJU2XjOthPSto/s400/IMG_2766.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5585221072799687506" />
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-55986243536251955202011-03-02T16:00:00.002-05:002011-03-02T16:20:57.209-05:00Baby Update!
Well, I'm at week 38 and in somewhat of shock that I'm still pregnant!!! 2 weeks ago, on Tuesday, the baby had not moved for 6 hours straight, and by not moved I mean, not even a single twitch! I was also having some cramping but I knew they were not contractions, just really crampy feeling! So I called the dr. and they had me come in to do a non-stress test to check on the baby. (Of course, the baby started moving as soon as we got in the car to head to the drs!) The baby then of course failed the first 20 minutes of the test! His/her little heart was beating away but not responding accordingly to the movements it was making. So they had me drink a cold juice box to see if that helped, nope! So about 10 minutes later the nurse came back in and the baby had begun to make more movements and the heart rate finally started to respond to the movements so we passed the second half of the test! YAY! Then I went to see the Dr, not my normal Dr. as this was a Tuesday and my Dr. is not in on Tuesdays. He decided to check to see if I was dilated at all because of the cramping I was feeling. I was 36 weeks at this point and was not expecting anything, but sure enough I was dilated to a 2. He then measured my belly and of course, I only measured 32 weeks AGAIN!!!! I had been measuring 32 weeks since I was 32 weeks. Sooo.... he ordered a growth ultrasound for the following day to make sure baby was growing. The ultrasound had the baby weighing 5 lbs 13 oz which put him/her in the 39th percentile which is perfectly healthy for 36 weeks along. Praise the Lord!!! I was so happy to be able to stop worrying about my little one growing!

Well, the next night, Thursday night/Friday morning I started having really strong contractions. I started to time them and they started out at 10 minutes apart and quickly changed to 5 minutes apart and continued to get stronger. I woke Stephen up, called my Dr, packed my bag hurriedly (it wasn't packed b/c I was only 36 weeks and not really expecting to have the baby so early) and off we headed to labor and delivery! On the way there, my contractions continued and were extremely painful so I thought that we were going to be having a baby that day!!! However, we got to the hospital, they hooked me up to the monitor and I had ONE contraction! ONE! That's it, ONE!!!! The nurse looked at me like I was stupid and wasn't very friendly either. I was like you have to be kidding me! She checked me and I had progressed to a 3-4 but was not contracting anymore so I clearly was not really in labor. Soooo back home we came. Later that day (Friday afternoon) I had my reg. apt with my reg. doctor and in there she said I was at a "good 4" but still not completely effaced. I was so shocked to hear her say that some women walk around at 4 cms for weeks before anything happens! I was pretty much confident that I wouldn't be one of those women as I went from 2 cms to full blown labor with Sofia in 3 days. Soo... back home I came and packed my bag for real this time!!!!

Fast Forward 6 days.... Thursday night... (still pregnant) I wake up to STRONG STRONG STRONG contractions that are 10 minutes apart. So, I start timing them but they never get closer together, and by 9 am they were completely gone. Ok, seriously, I'm getting angry at this point! I was up all night having horrible contractions and they turned out to be NOTHING!!! Soooo... that Friday afternoon I go in to see my Dr. for my reg. apt and she checks me and I'm at a 5!!!! FIVE CMS!!! Are you kidding me.... how is this possible??? Well, apparently it is!!! I asked her if this was common to be 5 cms dilated and not in active labor and she that I'm not the first patient she's had do this but it's not very common! Sooooo.... off I went with her saying... I'll see you next Friday, if you're still pregnant!

Well, here I am, it's Wed. and I'm still pregnant! I am trying very hard to be patient to meet my little one, but at the same time I'm really scared! I'm really scared that since I'm already at a 5 and I live about 50 minutes from the hospital that I'm not going to make it in time. I went from 3 cms to 10 within about 2.5 hours with Sofia. Soo... I need to talk to her on Friday about at what point they would send me to the hospital being at 5 cms.

I'm trying really hard to be patient and rest in the Lord's perfect timing for this baby's birth. It's hard when people continually ask me... "you're still pregnant??" once they find out I'm at a 5. However, I find a lot of comfort in knowing that God has this baby's birthday already picked out. He knows when he/she will be born and He knows what my labor will be like! That is sooo comforting to me! So, for now, we wait and enjoy our last days with just Sofia. Our lives are about to be changed again!!! :)
Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-49461820380385466442011-01-27T09:13:00.002-05:002011-01-27T09:20:47.965-05:00S-O-F-I-A

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-29432191936048673892011-01-25T14:40:00.003-05:002011-01-25T14:51:02.453-05:0033 weeks!!
Wow I cannot believe that tomorrow I'm going to be 33 weeks! It is so crazy to me that this pregnancy is going so fast, but yet it feels like I've been pregnant for forever!!! Things are going really well! I passed my glucose test which I was really nervous about! (for no reason other than the fact that everything else has come back bad during this pregnancy other than my amnio!) A month ago I was measuring 3 weeks behind so they were going to order an ultrasound if I was still that behind 2 weeks ago, however, I went in and was measuring just 2 weeks behind then. However, again, last Friday I went in and was measuring right on at 32 weeks! Praise the Lord this little one is growing! As much as I love being able to see the baby on Ultrasound, they are always so nerve wracking for me! I'm feeling really good, other than the fact that this baby is so low and that is causing a lot of pressure on my hips. I'm still sleeping pretty well other than the fact that I require about 56 pillows :) We're getting everything ready! I've been buying some boy clothes here and there if I find good deals because I am now within the return policy period so I can take them back if it's a girl. Boy clothes are sooo different than girl clothes! They are so cute in a different sort of way! I think we have agreed on names which is huge for us! We have Sofia's "big girl room" just about ready for her, just waiting for a good time to move her down there! I love her new room! I'll post pictures of that as soon as it's done! :) Sorry this is a random post, it's just been a long time since I've updated! :)

Here I am at 28 weeks....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirWWk_nY5ITj0sNsJnTfO2buYCMoLv39p_SUfpkX-QL01g3C-1rsDQPw6tQODo8USiUE0deXW5KPObjJx0yYDvSw1XOdKESfOxMe40S75FpweIEL2JZQtfbfREwFJV42-dzR9bHZrg6JE/s400/IMG_2450.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566212487594437794" />
and here I am at 33 weeks.... The bowel was not bright at all and we were able to get some great pics of the baby! She also checked out the heart a ton more since I am further along now and you can see so much more the further along you are! The baby is still measuring just a few days behind my due date but everything looks great!

Here's the little squishy...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 308px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHUs5chSohRJsil9iZgY4354_ow-nj7Nwazrapr-hPxgqANwDzHY7Wrh_OTfQFZI4A90DIjL-hsDm6mlkqlmjWwVkeoaS6Sx4K20fYSx4Lvy04l2D2JYRng8xSoBcQjcNXg2UhhclCIOU/s400/baby+pic2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5541366147987650578" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicQKs68usQ9dLpYo9jkh0gPtGaArXAnbwiqnKGwYk46868eA6CBrctjf9rO5msbqs7OQuR9FPhfcdDXRxVFkr6iHuuUl9VJrYrZ45_Ue0OZa4bj6rQzi4OyxXjGbouhQSbaZ44Ys3aSU0/s400/baby+pic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5541366142272311778" />
I think two things...well, three if you count the fact that he/she is a cutie...
1... Please pray that the bowel looks better so I can stop worrying :) My doctor was not concerned about it since the amnio came back negative for any chromosonal abnormalities. However, I still worry since something was "abnormal" on the ultrasound. If things look good, Lord willing, we won't have any more follow up ultrasounds after tomorrow. If not, they will continue to do them every month. As much as I love seeing the baby, it is always nerve wracking going in there to check on things. Thanks for your prayers!!!

Also, please pray for my sweet girl, she has been sick for about 3 weeks now with a cold and an ear infection. She has been a trooper! We have her birthday party on Saturday, and I'm praying she's feeling better. How is it even possible that my sweet baby girl is almost 2????

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwAWrjVIPckHjybH4wKy6MWZmJcW7Vyzz5YcD9r38FhLJ-a0KvhW74ztH1NqgS-Sd1MF1WkNNjAINgR8N64vVmBp0vpzk9QrPFnZZ5_g2-IurRb6WyxZTAYP0izYgvt4LaEoL7IgPlZAM/s400/IMG_2198.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5540526313307771074" />
This picture cracks me up!!

Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05486150509733025673noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067825383983601553.post-12064959799139621642010-11-15T15:29:00.004-05:002010-11-15T15:42:55.972-05:00It's that Time of Year Again...
I don't know about you, but I absolutely love getting Christmas cards in the mail.
