Wow, I don't even know where to start. This past weekend was such a whirlwind full of blessings! Friday evening was our Spring Fling at school. There were inflatable bouncers, games, yummy food, and a cake walk. Stephen brought Sofia up to the school and we enjoyed talking to friends and my students. It always amazes me how much my kids just adore Sofia. Although, she's too stinken cute not to!! (I'm not biased at all) :) Anyways, after the Spring Fling, we drove home and my parents, Jeremy and Jaimee arrived. We headed to dinner and enjoyed their company.
On Saturday, we headed to our traditional breakfast spot, IHOP, and then to Duke to tour the campus and walk through the gardens. It was an absolutely gorgeous day with temps. in the upper 80's to lower 90's. HOT HOT HOT! After we got back, we took Sofia for her first swim in our friend's pool. She liked it until the water got up to her little tummy. We took her out and she quickly forgot her sorrows when I went under water and popped up saying "peek-a-boo." She is becoming so playful and interactive and is rolling over all the time! She loves playing "peek-a-boo" and just laughs and laughs when we pop out from under the blanket! That night we headed to Macaroni Grill for yummy pasta and good laughs with the fam!
On Sunday, Sofia was dedicated at our church, Faith Baptist Church, in Youngsville, NC. We were so blessed to have my family and three friends from work, along with the church family, witness our commitment to raise Sofia in a Godly household and to teach her to love the Lord with all her heart, soul, strength and mind!
After church, we celebrated Mother's Day at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse. I had a wonderful first Mother's Day. Stephen, Sofia and I then came home and just hung out then went to Coldstone for ice cream and watched a movie.
We had a great weekend with my family, and like always, had a really hard time saying goodbye!! Here are some pictures of Sofia that I took for her grandmas for mother's day and some other random pictures from the weekend!
