Last Tuesday, Stephen's parents came into town for a short visit and to attend his graduation. Stephen graduated Friday afternoon with his Masters of Divinity! I am soooo proud of him and all of the hard work he put into it! He sure worked hard and still put up with me and Sofia without too much complaining :). We pray that the Lord was, and will be glorified through our time and efforts here in Wake Forest and that He will continue to guide us down this journey of our lives here on Earth.
After graduation, we, Stephen, Sofia and I, headed to Nags Head, NC in the Outer Banks for a 3-day weekend on the Beach. We rented a really nice 3 bedroom condo with some good friends of ours from our Sunday School Class. The condo was the perfect set up and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Our weather was perfect, our fellowship was great and we ate a lot of yummy food! Sunday we went to Cape Hatteras and visited the tallest lighthouse in North America. We also drove through some small beach towns like Rodanthe (cool town with really cool houses, just like in the movie :)
Saturday and Monday we just hung out at the beach. Sofia was such a champ! We bought a little sun tent for her for the beach which worked out perfect for her naps. We enjoyed reading, playing bocce ball, and just plain relaxing, oceanside style!!
We enjoyed a nice dinner Sunday night and "celebrated" Sofia's six month birthday! I can't believe my baby is a half of a year old already! It really has flown by!
The only damper on the whole weekend was that I had a cold, yuck! However, we really had a great time just getting away and enjoying our first vacation as a family of 3 :)
Looking ahead...
I only have 2.5 weeks of school left! YAY!!!
Sofia goes to the DR. for her 6 month check up Thursday!!!
We're planning to leave for MI for about a month around the 16th!!
Here are some pictures from our trip to the beach...
