Have you ever had one of those days where everything seems to go differently than the way you had planned? Well, we've had one of those WEEKS! Monday morning, we had a play date at a friends and we just had one of those mornings. I went to put on a shirt that I've not worn since before I had Sofia to find that it didn't fit right. This led me to the utter realization that although I had lost most of the baby weight rather quickly, I still have some more to go, which then led me to the conclusion that I really need to start working out again! Well, after the shirt incident, I put on a different shirt and got Sofia out of bed. I got her all ready and we were about to walk out the door when she did what she has done probably only 10 times in her short, one year of life. Yes, she spit up...on me...all over me! Yum! So...back to my closet I went and again, put on a different shirt! We then rushed out the door and made it to our play date...late! That afternoon, after returning from our play date, I got Sofia up from her nap and we went to take our weekly, well..some weeks daily...trip to Meijer for groceries. I went to head down the stairs carrying Sofia, but it didn't go quite as I had intended. Nope, I took one step off the top stair, slipped and went burling down the rest of the stairs and landed on my rear on the bottom landing. I've never tripped with Sofia, so as you can imagine, I was horrified and quickly started examining my poor daughter who had just taken a tumble down the stairs with her momma. Thankfully, we were both fine and off we went to Meijer. The next morning, we woke up, very sore from our fall the day before, to go to another play date with our friends from MOPS and Sofia had a runny nose. Soooo with all the nasty sicknesses going around, we decided to skip out on the play date. I'm glad we did because on Wednesday, Sofia had a full-blown runny/stuffy nose and I had a horrible sore throat. Sooo...we've been hanging out at home in our pjs not accomplishing great things, that's for sure. I had all these high hopes of going shopping this week and getting the house clean, but neither of those things have happened. But...that's ok. Sofia and I have really enjoyed just hanging out at home playing with toys and reading books. And...so there goes our "one of those weeks!"
