Last Monday was the day that rocked her world. She cried and cried that night when we put her down. I thought for sure we were in for an all nighter. Nope, not with my child. She cried herself to sleep for about an hour, and then slept the rest of the night. Tuesday night I put her down, not a peep. She did not shed one tear! This continued every night thereafter!
The only time that was rough was nap time. She cried and cried during nap time for a couple days, and now it does not even phase her.
The joke among our friends is that Sofia is the perfect child. Although we know she is not truly perfect, we also know that we are so blessed with a very well-behaved, tender-hearted, sweet-spirited little girl! What an answer to prayer! It is so amazing to me to know that my Creator cares so much for me that He answers even the smallest prayers! WOW!
I truly cannot believe that it only took a couple of days for her to adjust to not having her paci. Her paci was her "comfort thing." She's never had a favorite blanket or stuffed animal that helped soothe her, it was her paci. So I was really worried that it would be a horribly difficult adjustment. Well, my God, again, has proven to me that He cares about even taking away pacis from 18 month olds!
We are truly blessed!
On a side note... Sofia has started saying "all done" and it is sooo stinken cute! The other night, our neighbor was power washing his house and whenever he'd stop the water, she'd put her arms up and say "all done." I'll try to get it on video and post it!
