A LONG Overdue Update

Well, where do I begin??? We continue to stay very busy in the lovely state of Michigan. We have finally found a house and have placed an offer that was accepted...YAY!!! Now we just have to wait for everything to go through with the loan. Please pray that we will be able to have everything go through and that we will be able to close in the time we have allotted for it. More info. on the house will come as soon as we know it is really going to happen!

Sofia and I took a trip to Chicago with my mom and sister for Jaimee's dance nationals. We stayed at an indoor waterpark and really enjoyed floating down the lazy river and Sofia enjoyed playing with the little water fountains in the 6 inch deep pool. It is such a blessing and a great joy to see her now interacting with different people and "toys".

After our trip to Chicago, Sofia and I headed up north to the cottage with my parents, Jeremy and his girlfriend Julie, and Jaimee. We were really bummed that Stephen couldn't join us but it just didn't work in the schedule. Sofia celebrated her first fourth of July by attending the Indian River parade and hanging out with my family. She is such a trooper! The weather was cold and cloudy most of the time we were there, but I really enjoyed hanging out with my family and meeting Julie.

I have a job interview tomorrow for a position that will allow me to do some work from home. I am very excited about this opportunity and am praying that it will all work out. Stephen is working hard and is enjoying his job so far. He is also speaking at a Junior High Camp this week at Lincoln Lake.

Sofia continues to grow and develop. She can now sit up on her own like a big girl and can also stand up when she is up against furniture. She's eating cereal and all kinds of fruits and veggies. She's seemed to enjoy everything she's tried so far, she sure is a good eater :). We continue to pray that we will raise her in a way that is pleasing to the Lord and that she will seek Him as she grows up.

Thanks for your continued prayers and I will try to update this more. Here are some pics of our little darling....
