Sofia's Stats

Well little lady, I know it's a little late but I was waiting to take you for your one year check up at the doctors!

Sooo....what are you up to this month???

You weigh 17.7 lbs which puts you into the 5th percentile, yay for making more gains! You are 27.5 inches long...25th percentile and your head circumfrence is in the 50th percentile. Yay for a growing head too :)

You wear mostly 6-12 month clothes and are just getting into Carter's 12 monthers. You are still wearing a size 3 diaper.

You were in your infant car seat until about a week ago, and then mommy and daddy got you your new car seat and you still face backwards.

You are a great eater still, most of the time at least! You are purely on table foods now and you started drinking cows milk too. You're still not sure about the cows milk but you drink it if you are forced! :) You also are only nursing now at night before you go to bed. Mommy is having a hard time emotionally weaning you completely, but we'll have to do it soon because you are going to go stay at Mimi's for the weekend in a couple of weeks.

You continue to be an awesome sleeper, you're like a professional really! You're still napping two times a day and you still sleep like a champ through the night!

You are really showing an interest in playing with "big girl" toys now. You love your little people doll house and your little people farm toy. You also love your new pony and your walking cart. You are really interactive with your toys now. You understand that if you press certain buttons on certain toys that they will do something. You are also doing great with putting things into containers and taking them out. This has happened really in the last month! Your fine motor skills are just great!

You love being read to and you now love to turn the pages yourself. I love it when you're on the floor and you flip through a book like mommy would flip through a magazine. You also love going for walks in your stroller too!

You are still just doing your army crawl and you have begun to cruise around on furniture! You're not walking yet on your own but you just took a liking to pushing your little cart around the house like a crazy woman :) You also practically run around the house if you're holding onto our fingers. The doctor isn't overly concerned about your development yet but he still wants to see you again in 6 weeks for a development check up. I'm praying that you will make adequate progress between now and then so we don't have to do any further testing. He also said that you will most likely be very athletic when you get older because of the way your hips are. I think you got that from your daddy, not your mommy :)

You had to get five pokies today at the doctors and you were not a happy girl!

We had your first birthday party last weekend. You were sick though so I don't think you really enjoyed yourself. We had dinner with our families and then had friends over for some yummy cake and ice cream. You got a lot of really nice presents, lots of toys and clothes!

You continue to be such a delight and are such a blessing little lady!
