Oh my word, I have been the worst blogger ever in the past month! There really is no excuse for my absence except for my own, sheer, laziness...oh, and something we like to call...."The Holidays!"
Ok, soo...I just realized that I never even put pictures up from Sofia's first birthday party! Shame, shame, shame on me! So...for her party we had our families over for dinner and some good friends over for cake and ice cream. Sofia was given so many wonderful presents and she still loves playing with them all! Here are some pictures from her big day....

Ok, fast forward three weeks...
Sofia started to get herself into the sitting position and began walking with only one hand, instead of 2!! YAYA!!! We went and saw her doctor and he was so pleased with her development that he said he didn't need to see her until her 15 month regular check up! Praise the Lord!
That same week, Stephen and I traveled to Pittsburgh for my friend Lauren's wedding! Lauren was one of the other second grade teachers on my team in NC and I miss her so much! We left Sofia with her mimi and papa and it was the first time I had left her over night! It was sooo wonderful to get away just the two of us for a couple of days! It was also sooo wonderful to see my great friends who still teach in NC! (Don't worry, we talked about her basically the whole weekend)
Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend...you'll probably notice the lack of pictures from the wedding, that would be because my camera died the second Lauren started walking down the aisle!
ok...fast forward two days...
Sofia started to crawl on HER KNEES!! Oh my gosh, I was so excited I started crying and frantically calling everyone I knew! She not only started crawling on her knees...
but guess who got themself here all on her own...
she's pretty proud of herself too, can't you tell...
ok..again, fast forward to Christmas Eve (Sofia's 13 month birthday) and Day...

After Christmas, I went up north with my family and Stephen joined us on Wednesday! We snowmobiled a lot, watched a lot of tv, and tried to keep Sofia out of everything!
Sofia had a wonderful time hanging out with her mimi and papa, and I'm pretty sure they enjoyed their time with her too (wink wink)
So...here we are at present day! I have decided to give up Facebook because I came to the realization that I was wasting entirely way too much time sitting on my computer! I want to be able to focus on being a better wife, a better mom, a better friend, a better sister and a better daughter! Most importantly, I want to be able to focus on spending more time in God's Word! So...with that said, I'm really hoping to be able to keep the blog better updated as after only four days without facebook, I've had my friends tell me that I need to update the blog if I'm not going to be on facebook! So...there you have it folks, a full month compiled into what could quite possibly be....the longest blog post ever!

I love the picture of you two in Pittsburgh! I need to to do better at all the things you want to be better at as well...so I'll pray for you if you pray for me. We love you guys!! And Mary can't wait to see Sofia - she was looking at her picture on the fridge - saying Fia, Fia last night.
