My Favorite Time of Year

Let me rephrase that....{One of} My Favorite Times of the Year can be summed up by three simple words... GIRL SCOUT COOKIES! You totally thought I was going to say March Madness, didn't you? Or, possibly Spring. Or maybe even Easter. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy watching Michigan State just barely pull off a win. I also love the prospect of summer and warm weather and going to the beach. I am also forever grateful for God's ultimate sacrifice of sending His son to this earth to die on a cross for ME! WOW, what a powerful, powerful image that is to me!

However, today's post is indeed referring to those delicious cookies that are only available to us one time each year. A few of my favorites are Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties {also known as Tagalongs} as well as Caramel Delights {or Samoas}. Oh my goodness, yum! I'm pretty sure I could finish off a box of Thin Mints in one sitting. However, that would be so disappointing to me because I have to savor the cookies for as long as possible because it will be a whole year before I can get them again! Sofia is also really enjoying the Shortbreads :)
