Just One More Month!

My dearest little lady,

Yesterday, you turned 11 months old! It almost seems unfair that time is flying by so quickly. I remembered yesterday that when you were only 1 month old, I told myself that I had 11 more of these "chunks" of time that I had already had with you before you would be one. I also remembered that when you were only 2 months old, I told myself that I had 5 more of these "chunks" of time before you would turn 1. I told myself this every month to try to justify to myself that time really wasn't going as fast it seemed. Well, I was so wrong! Time has flown by and you have really begun to develop and blossom, especially in this past month. You have learned to do so many new things and I am so amazed at how much more you can do every single day! So...what are you up to these days???

~You are still eating up a storm! You have pretty much tried most of the foods that mommy makes for dinner. You still love yogurt and cheese. You have also really taken a liking to your sippy cup with water. You don't care too much for apple juice but you sure love water! We also made the transition from puffs to Cheerios! You are such a big girl and are really good at feeding yourself. You even have used the spoon to feed yourself! You still love to nurse and continue to do so every 3-4 hours!

~You are on the move! You can now get from point A to point B rather quickly, although you are still doing the army crawl and haven't quite figured out how to get up on all fours yet. You also have just learned to pull yourself up from the sitting position! You love pulling up in your crib and on your jumper! This past week, you have started to walk behind your little push shopping cart. You do pretty well and you love walking holding onto mommy and daddy's fingers! You fly doing that now!

~You are making all sorts of new sounds! You say "daddy" and "doggy" even though it doesn't sound like "doggy." :) You also make the cutest noise that sounds like..."zaaaat" "zaaaat" it just cracks me up!

~You love to mimic people. You pretend to snap and you have also learned to clap this past month! You always clap to music or when mommy is being silly and sings to you. You also continue to wave bye bye and hi. You do it when you just hear those words now, so you are recognizing that the words "bye bye" mean to wave! You are so smart!

~You still love playing with all of your toys and your giraffe is still your favorite stuffed animal. You love your little blue piano and have just started to take a liking to balls. You also love playing when you are standing up holding on to something or while you are in your jumper, which you also love!

~You took your first airplane ride to North Carolina to visit mommy and daddy's friends from Seminary. You did so good on both flights! You also got your first set of wings.

~You just moved up to size 3 diapers, but they are still a little big on you. You also are pretty much wearing all 9 month and 6-12 month clothing.

Mommy is going to take you in to the doctor on Monday for your weight check to see how you are doing as far as weight gain this month. You seem like you have grown up so much in this past month and are starting to look more and more like a little girl than a little baby. This makes mommy sad, but I also know that we would be worried if you weren't growing!

You are such a joy and bring so much laughter and happiness into our home Sofia! We thank the Lord every day for you and for the blessing that you are! We also pray every night before you go to bed that you will grow up to love Jesus! We pray that we will raise you in a home that will bring honor and glory to HIM! We pray that if it be His will for you to marry, that your future husband's mommy is rocking him at night and praying for you! We love you so much Sofia, never forget that!
